Terms of Service
The terms and conditions governing your use of the DocAccessible platform, including service scope, payment obligations, and user responsibilities.
March 5, 2026
By creating an account or using any DocAccessible service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. Service Description
DocAccessible provides a web-based platform for converting, hosting, editing, and validating accessible HTML documents.
Human-driven services are involved in this offering. Trained accessibility specialists perform document conversion (from PDF, DOCX, and PPTX source formats), quality assurance, and support operations.
All documents produced or edited through DocAccessible are designed to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, Section 508, and ADA accessibility standards. Compliance outcomes depend on the quality and structure of submitted source material.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding agreement to use DocAccessible. By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep your credentials secure.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@docaccessible.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Payment Terms
DocAccessible operates a usage-based pricing model with the following components:
- A per-request final payment based on document scope, service type (HTML conversion at $4.00/page baseline or PDF remediation starting at $10.00/page), and any admin-adjusted pricing.
- A $19.00/month workspace subscription that activates after the first delivered conversion request.
All prices are in USD. Payments are processed through DodoPayments, our Merchant of Record. Subscription invoices are issued monthly and are due within 14 days. Failure to pay within the due period results in the workspace transitioning to past-due and eventually read-only status.
4. Refunds and Cancellation
All payments made through DocAccessible are refundable in full when the refund request is submitted within 30 calendar days of the payment date.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Requests submitted after 30 calendar days are outside the policy window.
You may cancel your workspace subscription at any time. Cancellation triggers grace-period read-only mode. During the grace period, editing is disabled but downloads, support access, request history, and export functionality remain available. A hosted mirror of your documents is retained for 60 days after cancellation.
See our Refund Policy and Offboarding Policy for full details.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use DocAccessible only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or violates any third-party rights.
- Attempt to circumvent authentication, access controls, or rate limits.
- Use the platform to distribute malware or conduct phishing attacks.
- Resell or sublicense access to your account or workspace without written authorization.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the platform.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice.
6. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to the content you upload to DocAccessible. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to process, convert, store, and deliver your documents as part of the service.
The DocAccessible platform, including its code, design, and documentation, is the property of DocAccessible and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of our platform to you.
7. Data and Privacy
We collect and process personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. By using DocAccessible, you consent to such collection and processing.
Uploaded documents are stored in secure cloud-hosted infrastructure. We apply row-level security and enforce ownership verification on every API request. Source documents and converted outputs are stored separately and are accessible only to the document owner and authorized administrators.
8. Limitation of Liability
DocAccessible is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all accessibility defects will be detected or resolved.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocAccessible shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to DocAccessible in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may terminate by canceling your subscription and ceasing use of the platform. We may terminate or suspend your access for violation of these terms or non-payment.
Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will remain in effect.
10. Modifications
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Contact
Questions or concerns about these terms should be directed to contact@docaccessible.com or through the Contact page.
